Never knew I had such loyal fans...someone suddenly came up to me and asked why have I not updated my blog after SIP was over. Simply, because I had nothing to write. I don't think writing about farewells and all that would suffice, I mean, I suppose everyone had gone through similar experiences at their respective work places...I know for some is probably just a customary hand-shake and thinking 'Good-riddance'. If you really want to know, it's not. Lunch treat, and we exchanged presents, very unexpected, thought I was the one giving, not receiving. And I was set up pretty nicely as well. I never suspected that a conversation with my buddy on Tuesday was to find out what I wanted for a present. She 'told' me that her nephew's birthday was coming and asked me for my opinion on what to buy. I told her computer games haha. In the end talk about other likely presents and we agreed that a polo-tee would be the safest. And a pole-tee I received. Plus the Performance Appraisal which very nicely just managed to reach the 48 marks required and my supervisor very kindly wrote me a testimonial too. Very enriching experience in the bank, Tan Si Cheong must have been enthralled by my fortnightly E-journals, so he switched to DBS.
And today went to supermarket with my uncle to get some stuff. There's a HUGE difference in our shopping style. Today we went to get softener, the last time I bought it, it took me 5 seconds, mainly because I reached the shelves and was wondering which fragrance should I pick. My uncle reached the shelves, took 2 minutes looking at every softener on it, all shapes and sizes and brands. Then another 1 minute looking at the price tags. I told him to just grab the biggest and get out of here. He took another 1 minute closely analysing the different fragrances of each softener and
finally after around 5 minutes, he bought the very same softener which I told him to buy. His shopping style is very much like Yq. For me, as long as I like it, the price is within my range, I take it. So simple, just like my everyday lunch.
Also, if you guys ever go to the Amoy Food Centre, go eat at this one cai fan stall on the first floor somewhere at the far corner. The auntie and uncle was very nice and kind, I think I must have bored them with my selection of dishes that they took the liberty to just give me my usual whenever I turned up. They always add extra for me and on Wednesday when I was saying my farewells to them, they told me to come back to Tanjong Pagar to work and to visit their stall when I do and gave me a free lunch. Who says repetitions are boring and mundane? I have met truly wondrous people in my office and eating areas and I am thankful of the day I decided to eat at the cai fan stall at Amoy Food Centre.
Allan tried to sabo me eh....today during lecture. But I'm not doing Consumer Banking...mine was Corporate Banking. So I do not know the interest rates the bank has to offer. I know for sure that DBS's rates won't be the highest, for more information, please go to the website for more details. Thank you. Btw, it's very creepy of you to claim Pok Chang as yours. I mean, you want to announce to everyone you're gay and you like men, that's fine. But to implicate another person who has no idea what's going on, it's kind of sad. Why choose Pok anyways? For every Allan, there's always Allen Lambert, ready to shove his crotch onto your face. Similar name too. And I like how Dick described the volatility of Hc and Lyn. I warned Pok about how dangerous those two were. I told Dick to back me up. And as usual, he had to shun me and deny that those two spitfires are dangerous. But, he said...
'When they are, they are extremely dangerous.' Well-said Dick. I'm sure as hell glad that I'm not Pok (not as in I want to be anyway, I'm very happy being me). With 2 extreme sides of destruction and embarrassment breathing down his neck (esp the embarrassing one), 2012 may not be that bad after all.
